Frank Weiler

President & CEO, Trustee

Frank is the founder, a trustee and President and CEO of First Reliance REIT and President of First Reliance Asset Management. He brings over 20 years of experience in financial services. His recent investment advisory roles include positions with some of Canada’s leading investment firms, including CIBC Wood Gundy from 2006 to 2010, and RBC Dominion Securities from 2001 to 2006. In this role, Frank’s primary duties included analyzing investment choices and providing investment recommendations. Frank has provided advice regarding nearly all investment types, including advice regarding virtually all of Canada’s leading available REIT investments. He holds several designations including CIM (Canadian Investment Manager) and FMA (Financial Management Advisor). Frank also holds the designation of Chartered International Wealth Manager, has completed a program in financial management from Cornell University, and is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute.

Robert G. Coffey

Chair of the Board of Trustees
Bob Coffey became a Chartered Accountant in 1959. He is the former vice chair and head coach of KPMG, serving with the firm from 1966 to 1994. Bob is also a past chair of the board of trustees of InterRent REIT, his length of service with InterRent exceeded ten years. He is also a past Vice President of Geneva Merger & Acquisition Services of Canada (Ont.) Inc. Founded in 1977, Geneva is the premier firm specializing in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures of private, middle-market enterprises. Over his long and distinguished career Bob has become a senior business advisor and management consultant to industry and government. He has participated in a number of Royal Commissions and has lectured at McGill University and the University of Toronto on costing and budgeting. He has held numerous executive and management positions including Managing Partner for Canada of the Management Consulting Services for Ernst & Whinney, and Executive Partner, Thorne, Ernst and Whinney. Mr. Coffey remains active in the field of mergers and acquisitions and is the founder of the Canadian Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and co-founder of the Toronto chapter of The Turnaround Management Association (TMA), and is a co-author of “Purchase and Sale of a Business”. After retirement from KPMG as an active partner where he was responsible for marketing and the leadership of Industry Specialists and Practices, and prior to joining Geneva Canada, Mr. Coffey was the Senior Vice-President, Commercial Lending, ABN AMRO Bank Canada from 1994 through 1997. He is past Chair of the Kiwanis Music Festival Foundation, a past director of the Toronto Kiwanis Foundation, past President of the Kiwanis Club of Toronto, a member of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Canada, and a life member of the Advisory Board of ACE Canada. He is a past member of the rehabilitation advisory panel (a three year term) to the Toronto Central LHIN. (Local Health Information Network). He is a past volunteer director of IAPA (The Industrial Accident Prevention Association). Bob is also Head Coach of Townson & Alexander, a sales management consulting company. He is also a past director of Philex Gold Inc listed on the TSX Venture exchange which was taken private. Bob holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University.

Hector MacHutchon

Trustee
Hector brings over 45 years of construction and real estate experience, beginning in the United Kingdom. Now an independent consultant, Hector recently held the role of General Manager of multi-unit residential construction for Casman Building Ltd. of Fort McMurray Alberta from 2005 to 2011. He led teams that completed a number of large scale projects for companies such as Shelter Corp and Wood Buffalo Housing. His experience encompasses both ground up building and retrofitting of existing buildings. In addition, he has held various roles with highly established companies such as Menkes, Great Lands Corporation, and Monarch Homes. His depth of knowledge and clear understanding of the construction process have often led to considerable cost savings and efficiency.

Tony Miranda

Trustee
Tony brings over 30 years of real estate asset and property management experience. He is currently a licensed real estate agent with Remax West Realty. Previously he was a licensed real estate broker and agent with Sutton Group West Realty from 2013 to 2016 and Royal LePage Kingsbury Realty from 1997 to 2013. He managed and owned a series of retail plazas and medical clinics across Canada from 1981 to 2008. Tony was a partner in Master Realty Inc., a real estate brokerage with over 120 real estate agents from 1979 to 1992. In addition, he owned and managed International Real Estate Consultants Inc., a real estate company holding over 1000 units of various types of real estate assets including significant holdings in the multi-unit residential sector. Tony is well versed in real estate asset management and property management and has owned and operated virtually all types of commercial real estate.
